Flowers & Birds

I’m endlessly fascinated by birds and will eternally love flowers. Having dabbled in fabric arts for a long time before picking up a paintbrush, I envision glorious fabrics when I paint. I begin a painting by playing with acrylic paints on paper, ever fascinated by the drips, blends and swirls, luscious color mixes and textures.  Then I look for the beauty and paint to bring forth what I find. There are always delightful surprises and the abstract paintings that emerge are joyful to create.
